Bangers & Co.
Yes, I’ve done this before, but, this is better…
Why? Because I didn’t slice the sausages, that let all the juice out and this time I let them rest, covered in tin foil to get all the flavour! 30 minutes from start to table. The best part about cast iron cooking is serving in the cast iron. It keeps your food hot and looks awesome!
Serve with buns. Make a sausage sandwich, throw some cheese, peppers, and onions on it. YES!
Ingredients
Package of Johnsonville sausages. These were Honey and Garlic. Very good.
1 large Green Pepper
I large Red Pepper
1 medium Onion
Crisco or Olive oil.
Seasonings
Instructions
1
Heat your 10" pan on 3 until it's hot.
Put a bit of crisco oil in.
Add sausages.
Cover with a screen unless you like spatter all over your stove top.
2
While the sausages are cooking prepare your veggies.
Slice then season and drizzle oil over them.
Heat a 10" CI grill pan. Spray with cooking spray. If you don't you'll be sorry, and you'll be picking food out of the skillet grills for the rest of the evening while everyone else is watching TV.
3
When sausages are done (if you put them on first, they will be done around the same time as the peppers and onions.) Remove the from skillet and cover to rest with tin foil.
4
Arrange sausages on peppers.
Serve in skillet!
