Great Grandpa’s Meatloaf

Great Grandma and I had some fun in the kitchen today making this old family favourite. Great Grandpa knew how to make meatloaf! Crusty top and edges and moist inside!! It was fun spending the day with you mom, and sharing a meal… you are loved! xxxx

Words of wisdom… from Great Grandma… don’t handle the meat too much!! It’s not supposed to be sliced, it’s supposed to be spooned out. If only we’d had some mashed turnips and potatoes.. slathered in butter and salt and pepper!! yum yum yum!!! Next time!

We used 2 eggs, and had no mushrooms.. I wrote this out a LONG time ago.. guessing it was around 1983??
