Great Grandma’s Cream Cheese & Chicken

Place chicken breasts in a casserole dish with no water. Season with salt and pepper. Cover. Bake  in a 350 degree oven for approximately 1 hour.

Remove chicken, add drippings to saucepan, add 2 cans cream of chicken soup and 1 package of cream cheese.

Brown canned or fresh mushrooms in butter and oil, season with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Add the sauce. Add a bit of milk if it’s too thick.

Tear or cut chicken into big chunks, add to sauce and put back in casserole dish, cover with swiss cheese slices.

Prepare a box of stove top stuffing.

Spread stuffing evenly over the top of the swiss cheese.

Bake for 10 -15 minutes, turn on broiler for 1 minute. Serve with Uncle Ben’s wild rice. YUM!!
